RBC Launches New Online Booking Tool with Travelocity

The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC)  has announced today that it will be launching a new online travel booking tool in collaboration with Travelocity, a leading full service travel website.

The tool is expected to be available in the coming weeks will make it much more convenient for Canadians to book travel with their RBC Rewards points, not to mention it will give clients more choice and flexibility.

Canadians are always looking to make their revel redemption experience and simple and convenient as possible. Karen Leggett, senior vice-president, Cards & Payment Solutions, RBC, explained that this new relationship and tool will allow RC clients to use their RBC Rewards points or combination of points and cash instantly. It would be no different than when they would book a trip online.

In a recent RBC poll, it revealed that Canadians often struggle to redeem their points for the flights they want; something always comes up and makes the task difficult.

What can the new travel booking tool do?

The new RBC Rewards online travel-booking tool will offer users the ability to log into RBC Rewards to book their next vacation with access to Travelocity’s sales and special promotions.

RBC is aiming to give Canadians the best online travel rewards booking experience in the country; and with their new online travel-booking tool, RBC has done exactly that.

The relationship between RBC and Travelocity will allow RBC to give their clients the best travel booking experience, by ensuring that there are not multiple steps involved to access points for travel.

What will this new partnership allows RBC to do for their clients?

As I mentioned already, RBC has ensured that clients will be able to use their reward points with ease.

What the partnership will also bring in addition to countless of flight options is hundreds of deals for hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages. It is also a one stop shop for research, planning and booking travel, which also includes protection and travel insurance. The new RBC Rewards online travel booking tool will offer users the ability to log into RBC Rewards to book their next vacation with access to Travelocity’s sales and special promotions.

I for one cannot wait to see when the new online travel-booking tool is officially launched. As it stands, RBC has stated that it will help clients a lot, but I doubt they would launch a service and say otherwise. What it will really come down to are the user reviews; hopefully they are pleased with the product as they are anticipated to be.
