WestJet RBC MasterCard

18 March 2010

l westjet 150x113 WestJet RBC MasterCardRoyal Bank of Canada (RBC) has recently joined the MasterCard market with two new credit cards. I recently spoke about the WestJet RBC World MasterCard (Information can be found here), today I will talk about the second MasterCard offered by RBC, the WestJet RBC MasterCard.

With the WestJet RBC MasterCard, it allows you to earn WestJet dollars, which can be used to pay for your next flight or vacation package with WestJet or WestJet Vacations.

You earn 1% in WestJet dollars on everyday purchases – that is $1 WestJet dollar for every $100 in purchases. When you purchase WestJet flights or WestJet Vacations packages you earn 1.50% in WestJet dollars.

One WestJet dollar equals one Canadian dollar, you can use to pay for all or part of any published fare for any flight or vacation package booked with WestJet or WestJet Vacations.

You can go wherever WestJet flies, whenever you want, with no blackout periods, travel restrictions or advanced booking requirements.

The insurance coverage provided with the WestJet RBC MasterCard includes travel accident insurance, hotel/ motel burglary insurance, emergency purchase insurance, auto rental collision/ loss damage insurance, purchase security and extended warranty protection.

The interest rate for the WestJet RBC MasterCard is 19.99%, and the annual fee is $39. Additional cards will cost you $19 per year for each card.

When you first use your WestJet RBC MasterCard, you earn $25 WestJet dollars as a welcome bonus.
