NBC Platinum MasterCard Promotion

Several months ago I reported to you the promotion National Bank Financial Group was offering its NBC Platinum Cardholders, which was along the lines of a free ticket.

At this time, that promotion is long gone, and now they have brought out another promotion, which I think is a little better with the options you have with it.

For those who sign up for the NBC Platinum Card between January 1st and February 28th 2010, you will receive 20,000 A la carte points. The 20,000 points can be used to exchange for an RRSP contribution, travel discounts or much more.

As a reminder, 11,000 points will equal $100 in travel discounts or $100 in RRSP contributions. If by chance you decide to save your points, when you reach 50,000 points, then you can get $500 off in travel discounts and every 10,000 points will equal $100 in travel discounts.

This promotion is a great chance to get a huge head start on collecting reward points; to earn 20,000 points, you would have to spend $13,333 ($1 = 1.5 points).
