To spice things up for a change, instead of having our regular weekly news watch segment, let us discuss a completely unrelated new matter.
The topic discussion with be Christmas gifts, and what we have done to lessen the impact of expenses for the holidays this year.
Seeing as the only way to make this work is to have people explaining their tips, I will start off with what I have done, and hopefully you all return with what you have done.
For me in particular, I have to get a gift each for my brother, my mother and father, which brings the total to 4.
I have a brother who wants an Apple iPod Touch 32 GB; those are pretty expensive at Apple, Best Buy, or any other electronic store.
In order to lower my cost, I used my air miles, well a portion was paid with air miles, and the rest was paid in cash.
Right now you can get the Apple iPod Touch 32 GB for 2,300 air miles + $150.00.
Needless to say, I have pretty much used up all of the air miles I have saved the past few years, however to me it was worth it.
Now for the rest of my family, the gifts they wanted was hard to actually find a way to save on them, but the fact that I was able to save on the Apple iPod Touch was great.
You should consider looking into these options if you find yourself wanting to save this Christmas, even if it is a little.
