I recently heard some interesting information concerning the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and their credit cards, particularly the RBC Visa Infinite Avion which has not been posted on banknerd.ca.
As many of you know, when you upgrade your Visa to the RBC Visa Infinite Avion, or enrol and receive the RBC Visa Infinite Avion you get 15,000 RBC Reward Points.
Now the problem for existing RBC clients who do this is that if you already have a premium credit card with RBC, then you do not get the 15,000 Reward Points promised in the promotions.
From all of the advertisements, I hardly see this information in the fine print, but then again that is why it is fine print, people tend to pass over the information.
Now the RBC credits cards that are premium credit cards are the RBC Visa Gold Preferred, RBC Platinum Avion, etc.
For those who are upgrading to the RBC Visa Infinite Avion, remember that if you already have a premium credit card with RBC you will not be getting the 15,000 Reward Points.
The information was given to me by a friend who works at RBC, who offered a client the RBC Visa Infinite Avion, and said they would receive the 15,000 Reward Points. This was not the case, and that branch must compensate for this mistake.
