Under this agreement, China immigrants and international students that plan to move to Canada, are given the ability to open an account with Scotiabank, through any of the 119 CEB outlets in 33 cities across China.

Once in China, customers can visit any Scotiabank branch across Canada and activate their accounts, obtain a Visa card, and enjoy the benefits of the Scotiabank StartRight Program, which is Scotiabank’s convenient banking package designed for newcomers to Canada.

Through the partnership with CEB, Scotiabank gives newcomers a head start before their arrival by providing them with the ability to establish a relationship with a bank, allowing them to have some stability in the midst of their change of location.

With the launch of the CEB-Scotiabank partnership, it further expands CEB’s reach in the financial services market for immigrants and international students going to Canada.
